Pond: Vizír

Pond in the Chlum system (10.22 ha, 442 m above sea level) It is located in the Třeboň protected landscape area. The National Protected Monument was declared here in 1987. The main object of protection is the double-bellied water lily (Graphoderus bilineatus) together with the white water lily (Nymphaea candida), the pale yellow water lily (Utricularia ochroleuca) and the intermediate sundew (Drosera intermedia)

Prior to the revitalisation, which took place in 2018-2021, it was managed by the Třeboň s.r.o. fishery. Based on the requirements of the AOPK, the economic intensity was gradually reduced, the pond grew out of the water, and the dominant feature was a stand of sedges. At present, the pond is owned by the Třeboň Hld. a.s., which leases it to ENKI, o.p.s. The contractual relationship is documented in an annex to the project application.

In accordance with the requirements of the Protected Landscape Area, an alternative method of management (pike / tench) is applied here with an emphasis on the suppression of invasive fish species - sunfish, eastern sunfish, silver bream, American catfish, black catfish. Within the project ENKI, o.p.s. plans to suppress the stocking of invasive species and subsequent transition to extensive breeding of crucian carp, common minnow, tench, zander, pike.
